At one point on the east side of the road near the south end, the road gets very close to the water and a foundation appears partially submerged. From the 1867 map it was hard to tell exactly what this was because many buildings are shown on the map (perhaps the other foundations are now completely underwater). This may have been Sutton or may have been some kind of shop.
